Shia LaBeouf Accident: Owner Of Other Car Cited For Running Red Light





The owner of the car that police say caused the crash that injured "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf has been issued a tag for running a redness light. According to The Associated Press, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department issued the ticket concluding week to Los Angeles resident Simon Herbert, 21.

Police are inactive trying to determine if Herbert was driving the car at the sentence of the July 27 accident that resulted in LaBeouf, 22, sustaining a serious injury to his left hand, which compulsory extensive surgery.


LaBeouf had reportedly been out at a bar the night of the crash and was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence. He was nerve-racking to turn left at around 2:30 a.m. when Herbert's car hit the actor's Ford F-150 truck, which then rolled over twice.


While LaBeouf was gravely injured, his passenger, "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" co-star Isabel Lucas, sustained solely minor injuries. According to TMZ.com, LaBeouf has not yet been charged with DUI in connection with the accident, and a police interpreter told Access Hollywood that they have not however received the actor's line of descent tests from the infirmary and that it could be a few more weeks until they do.


"Transformers" director Michael Bay has claimed that LaBeouf was not drunk at the time of the crash but had been imbibing "hours and hours" earlier he got behind the wheel. After initial reports that he might non be back on sic for the "Transformers" reboot for a month, E! Online reported last hebdomad that LaBeouf was already back to work on the flick. Bay has already revealed that the script is being altered to incorporate the actor's injury.
