Cynthia Nixon plans to marry girlfriend

Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon has revealed she plans to marry her longterm girlfriend Christine Marinoni.

The actress — who plays Miranda Hobbes in the hit HBO series and upcoming film — says she will tie the knot as soon as New York authorities recognize same-sex marriages.

She said, “If it becomes legal I think we would.

“It’s something my girlfriend is interested in and it was not something my boyfriend ever was.

“I think that to get married to her would be a little act of rebellion. It’s like if you’ve never had the vote and then you get it you’re going to run out there and vote.

Fables from a Mayfly: What I Tell You Trey Multiplication Is True, with production from David Bottrill (Prick, King Crimson), was released in June 2007.
